The Introduction to Lean Workshop is a comprehensive introduction to lean principles and tools.  Lean is a continuous improvement approach that engages all employees in finding and fixing problems, to help groups in any industry to improve performance results.   

Objectives:

  • Examine the history and development of Lean Thinking.
  • Understand the key principles at the heart of every lean business transformation.
  • Examine the components of a lean business system and the benefits and challenges of putting this type of a system into action.
  • Overview the common methods of lean process improvement, including standard work, 5S and visual management, pull systems, setup reduction, cellular processing, and others.
  • Understand the keys to success with Lean Thinking
  • Discuss tools and resources for getting started with lean.

This workshop is suitable for everyone: front line and management, shop floor and office workers, prior exposure to lean or none at all.
